Pot Spots: Emerald Triangle
These three counties in Northern Cali (Humboldt, Trinity, and Mendocino) are the biggest pot-producing counties not only in California but in the United States. Though most of these pot farms are blocked by narc-repelling mountains and other types of green, there’s a good chance if you run into anyone there, you’ll be at most, two degrees from smoking trees.
However, be weary that if you drive a vehicle with out-of-CA plates in any of the counties mentioned above during the growing [and especially during harvest] season - you will more than likely be pulled over and searched.
The Sheriff’s deputies and California Highway Patrolmen are nice people, but they certainly want to know if you’re taking some weight home with you as a souvenir.
